In this episode, I review an incident that was told to me on my Facebook group "Safety Consultant". A supervisor was bullying a new hire by constant teasing. The new hire got fed up and shook his can of coke and it spewed in the supervisor's face during lunch. Everyone laughed at the supervisor. The new hire later on took of his hard hat to wipe some sweat off his head and the supervisor wrote him up for not having his safety gear on as retaliation. The people in the group reading this post gave all comments addressing the symptoms, but not the problem. In this episode, Sheldon goes over what to expect now after OSHA's failed to get a vaccine mandate passed nationally. OSHA says: COVID-19 In order to determine whether the exposure occurred in the work environment or occurred away from work, the employer must evaluate the employee's work duties and environment. To address this issue the employer must follow the criteria in OSHA’s recordkeeping regulation at 29 CFR 1904.5 for determining work-relatedness. Because an employee can contract COVID-19 from an exposure at work or outside of the workplace, an employer whose employee has been hospitalized or is deceased due to COVID-19 needs to consider the following: • The type, extent, and duration of contact the employee had at the work environment with other people, particularly the general public; • Physical distancing and other controls that impact the likelihood of work-related exposure; • The extent and duration of time spent in a shared indoor space with limited ventilation; and • Whether the employee had work-related contact with anyone who exhibited signs and symptoms of COVID-19. 4 CDC Close Contact Close Contact through proximity and duration of exposure: Someone who was less than 6 feet away from an infected person (laboratory-confirmed or a clinical diagnosis) for a cumulative total of 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period (for example, three individual 5-minute exposures for a total of 15 minutes). An infected person can spread SARS-CoV-2 starting 2 days before they have any symptoms (or, for asymptomatic people, 2 days before the positive specimen collection date). The episode will help you coach your clients and workforce as to compliance with the General Duty Clause in the OSH Act 5(a)(1).

L use this to send messages for subscribers that are interested in a specific class or podcast. The system will perform an action that would be “if this link is clicked”, then start this automatic message sequence. • easy email editing and tagging, o You can add text, pictures and links to the email very easily. It’s just like typing in a Word document. • Smart pages o You can have a page for people to sign up for your email or even give a free download without having you own website. The system will send the download after the person signed up for the newsletter. • autoresponders, o This feature is how you can make a series of emails to go out at different days to continue conversations with someone. You can do targeted messages over several days to promote a course, podcast, or anything. • even automatically creating draft emails from any of your existing RSS feeds. o If you have a YouTube channel or a podcast, then there is a RSS feed that gets broadcasted when you share something on that service. The email system will pick up the RSS feed and once a week create an automatic email for you to look over and send to your people. Email marketing should begin before you have a product or service. It’s a way to keep people updated on the most recent thing that you do. A smart email system will do something with the emails to raise engagement in the audience. They must first know you, then they will like you, lastly they will trust you. So after you build trust it becomes easier to sell your product or service to help them. Hope this helps you understand the process a little better. There are many email service companies, but not many do everything I just explained. I’ve been trying to find and offer my audience better resources as of late and I do have a wonderful company, If you’re ready to collect those names and emails from potential clients.
